About Bayswater Yarns

Welcome to Bayswater Yarns!

Hi everyone! My name is Jessica. I'm 25 years old, and I live in the North East of England, with my husband Joe, and our greyhound Lydia!

My great grandmother taught me to knit when I was 8 years old, and I've been knitting ever since. I suppose you could call me a yarnaholic, and my stash is ever growing.

Bayswater Yarns was born out of a desire to create colourways that I wanted, but couldn't find, and it seemed many people shared my desire! On top of this, it was a way to support my yarn hoarding (something I'm sure all of you can relate to!)

My colourways are inspired by several things, including the world around me and the beautiful colours in nature. Colourways such as Sakura Blossom are inspired by the Osaka cherry blossoms, and Autumn Leaves is inspired by the Sycamore Tree in our front garden. Other colours, such as Cheshire Cat, are inspired by some of my favourite movie and book characters, and tend to be more vibrant and vivid!

I started Bayswater Yarns in March 2020, after losing two jobs due to Covid-19. It was a way to turn something I loved into a job, and share my creations with others!

I've been incredibly blessed by all I've met, and I hope my luck continues as my business grows.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, suggestions, or just want a chat! I'm always around to meet other knitters, crocheters, fiber artists, or just all round nice people!

Lots of Love,

Jessica and Joe
